Get your week back.

We build you a website that keeps working after the visitor leaves, marketing that runs without you, and automation that quietly removes the admin — wired together, so your business runs as one system instead of six that don't speak.

The problem

You lose a day a week to work nobody pays for.

The quote typed three times

Once on the job, once in the spreadsheet, once into the accounting software. Same numbers, three chances to get one wrong.

The website nobody finds

Built five years ago, slow on a phone, hasn't brought an enquiry in since. Meanwhile the competitor down the road is on page one.

The Monday report

An hour copying figures between files so somebody can look at a number that was already sitting in the system.

What we do

Three services.
One system.

Each one works on its own. Together they run as a single system — which is the part most suppliers can't do for you.

Websites

A website that actually does something

Most web designers hand you a brochure: nice to look at, does nothing once the visitor leaves. We build a site that is wired into how the business actually runs — so an enquiry becomes a booked job, not another email to deal with later.

What that looks like: someone finds you at 8pm and books a time. The job appears on your phone, the details are already in your job list, and they get a confirmation without you touching anything.

  • Enquiries land in your systems, not just an inbox
  • Connected to the tools you already pay for — Xero, your job software, your calendar
  • Answers the common questions after hours, so you don't have to
  • Built mobile-first, and found on Google
  • You own the domain, the code and the hosting

From $1,500 Fixed price, quoted before we start

Marketing

Marketing that runs without you

Showing up consistently is what wins work, and it is the first thing that slips when you are busy. We plan, write and schedule it for you, in your voice, every month. You approve; we publish.

What that looks like: one message a month with the whole plan ready. You reply “yes”. That is your entire involvement — and your customers hear from you every week regardless of how your week went.

  • A month of posts and emails, planned and written
  • In your voice — we learn how you actually talk
  • Aimed first at the customers you already have
  • One plain-English report: what worked, what didn't, what's next

From $500 / month Month to month, 30 days' notice

Automation

The admin, removed

Every business has a handful of jobs done by hand every week that a system should be doing. We find them, price them, and build the thing that does them. Not a strategy document — working software, handed over and running.

What that looks like: you write a quote once. It lands in your job list, your invoice and the follow-up email by itself. If nobody replies in three days, it chases them for you.

  • Quotes and invoices that fill themselves in
  • Your systems finally talking to each other
  • Reports built overnight, waiting when you sit down
  • Follow-ups that chase themselves
  • Built by someone who has run an operation, not just coded one

How this differs from the usual supplier
UsualYou get a page that looks good and sits there.
UpgearYou get a page that does the first hour of work for you — qualifies the enquiry, books the time, writes it into your systems.
UsualThree suppliers: one for the site, one for marketing, one for the software.
UpgearOne build, connected end to end. The site, the follow-up and the job list are the same system, not three that never speak.
UsualAI is a chatbot bolted on the corner of the page.
UpgearAI sits inside the work — reading the enquiry, drafting the quote, writing the month's posts, chasing the ones who went quiet.
UsualBilled by the hour, scope grows, invoice surprises you.
UpgearFixed price, agreed before we start. Half up front, half when it is working.
UsualHandover is a login and good luck.
UpgearYou own the domain, the code and the hosting. We stay until your team can run it without us.

Also available: reporting dashboards · website chatbots · document and quote generation · connecting the systems you already pay for · cleaning up messy spreadsheets · AI training for your team.

How it works

Three steps. You know the price before each one.

STEP 01

A free review

You fill in one form about how the business runs today. We read it and send back a written review: what's costing you the most time, and what we'd fix first. No meeting to sit through.

No cost

STEP 02

We come and look

Half a day watching how your business actually runs — on site around Melbourne, or over video anywhere else in Australia. You get one page back: the five things costing the most time, the hours each one costs, and a fixed price to fix each.

$600 + GST

STEP 03

We build it

You pick what you want from that list. Half up front, half when it's working. We sit with your team until they can run it without us.

Fixed price

If the audit finds nothing worth building, we say so plainly — and the fee comes off any work you do with us in the next 12 months.

What we've built

Operations software

Customer ordering & billing portal

A production system used daily by staff and customers — ordering, invoicing, stock tracking across multiple sites. Built and maintained end to end, including the billing rules where a wrong number costs real money.

Reporting

Automated operations reporting

Overnight jobs that pull data from several systems, reconcile it, and deliver finished dashboards before anyone sits down. Replaced hours of manual spreadsheet work every week.

This website

The site you're reading

Built from scratch — no page builder, no template, no plugins to keep patched. Hand-written code that loads instantly on a phone. If we're going to sell you a website, ours should be the proof we can build one.

Demo

Quote follow-up automation

A working demo, built for this site rather than a client: a quote goes out, and if nobody replies in three days it follows itself up, logs the result, and tells you who's worth a phone call.

Pricing

Published, because you shouldn't have to ask.

Every price below is the starting point for a fixed quote. You'll have the number in writing before any work begins, and it won't move unless you change the scope.

About us

We’ve run an operation, not just coded one.

Upgear AI is an Australian studio, based in Melbourne, working with clients anywhere in the country. We build websites, run marketing, and automate the repetitive work that eats the week — and we connect the three so they behave like one system.

We come from an operations background. We've built and shipped production systems that businesses depend on every day — ordering, billing, stock tracking, reporting. Systems where a wrong number costs real money and someone rings you about it.

That's the difference. Most people selling AI have never run an operation. We know what a messy week actually looks like before we try to fix it, which means we fix the thing costing you money rather than the thing that's interesting to build.

We take on a limited number of clients at a time. You deal with the person building your work — not an account manager, and not a call centre.

Questions worth asking

Why you, instead of an agency?

An agency sells you the one piece it happens to make — a site, a campaign, a tool — and bills you by the hour to do it. We build all three together, for a fixed price agreed before we start, and the person who builds your work is the person who answers your email. We're early, and we're open about that: it is exactly why our first clients get our best price and our full attention.

Do you only work with Melbourne businesses?

No. We're based in Melbourne but we work with businesses right across Australia — websites, marketing and most automation never need anyone in the room. If you're in or near Melbourne we'll come to you for the audit. Anywhere else, we do it over video: you walk us through your week on a screen share, which honestly works just as well and costs you less time.

Why is the audit paid, when everyone else's is free?

Because a free look produces a guess, and a guess produces a quote that moves later. Half a day watching how your business actually works is what lets us give you a fixed price we'll stand behind. And if we find nothing worth building, the fee comes off any future work — so the only way it costs you is if we save you money.

What happens if it breaks?

We reply within one business day, and support plans start at $400 a month if you want monitoring and a guaranteed response. We also deliberately don't build things that stop your business if they pause for a day — nothing goes on the critical path to invoicing or site work without a manual fallback.

Do I own what you build?

Yes. The code, the domain, the hosting account, the data — all in your name, all handed over at completion with documentation you can give to anyone else. No hostage situations, ever.

Isn't AI going to do all this for free soon?

AI is why we can build in days what used to take weeks, and why our prices are what they are. What it doesn't do is walk into your business, work out which of your processes is actually worth automating, and take responsibility when it has to work on Monday morning. That judgement is the job.

Find out what your week is costing you.

Fill in the form below and we’ll send back a written review of your business — where the time is going, what we’d fix first, and what it would cost. Free, and there’s nothing to sit through.

Free business review

Tell us how you work now.
We’ll tell you what to fix.

The more detail you give us about how things are done today, the more useful the review. Four fields are required — the rest take about five minutes and are worth it.

What you getA written review: the three things costing you the most time, roughly what each one costs a year, and what we’d do about it.
WhenWithin three business days of receiving your answers.
The catchNone. If there’s nothing worth building, we’ll say so in writing and you’ve lost nothing but five minutes.

Thanks — that’s everything we need.

We’ll read it properly and send your written review within three business days. If anything is unclear we’ll email you a question first rather than guess.

1 · Your business

So we know who we’re writing the review for.

2 · How work comes in

This tells us whether the problem is getting enquiries, or what happens to them afterwards.

Who does it, how often, and what goes out — posts, emails, flyers, nothing at all. Be honest; “nothing, I never get to it” is a useful answer.
From the first phone call or message to a booked job: who answers it, where it gets written down, how the quote is made, what happens if they don’t reply.
3 · Your website

A site that just sits there is the most common thing we find.

Bring enquiries, take bookings, show your work, or just exist because someone said you needed one.
Your calendar, job software, accounting, a CRM — or does every enquiry just land in an inbox?
4 · The admin

This section is the one that usually pays for itself.

Step by step: who does it, in which program or on paper, how long it takes, and what goes wrong when it goes wrong. This one answer shapes most of the review.
5 · What you want out of it

So the review answers your question, not ours.

There’s no wrong answer — it just changes what we recommend.

Your answers are used to write your review and nothing else. We don’t sell data, we don’t add you to a mailing list, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
